Wedding Poems

Wedding poems deal with one of life’s greatest moments and times of commitment.

Something Grand

Today will be
For you and me
The start of something grand.

We’ll walk life’s road,
Achieve success
And do it hand in hand.

Robert Ogden

Tremendous emotion charged memories come flooding back when recalling our wedding. This subject is unlike others in that despite the test of time its memories never fade.

Sure, we may forget some of the details, but unlike other past events our wedding day never gets relegated to not-as-important-as-events-happening-today. Graduation, birthdays, awards, achievements…all pale in comparison when evaluating importance.

The difference is not only in the significance of the event but in the ongoing work at hand. Graduation is over. It was great, important, etc., but it is done. The same with awards won or earned. But our wedding started a continuing relationship that never finishes until death do us part making it, indeed, something grand.
