Teenage Love Poems

Teenage love poems breathe passionate emotions characteristic of the adolescent years.

Agony

I cannot eat
Or sleep or work
For wishing you were here.

The days that pass
Are meaningless
Unless, my love, you’re near.

Robert Ogden

Do we ever forget the emotion charged days of our teen years? Not me. As old as I am, I’ll never forget the traumatic young years of my life where emotions swayed all of my actions.

I remember my first girlfriend and how life suddenly switched to revolving around thoughts of her. All of my desires…sports, chess, French horn…seemed secondary to thoughts of her. Thinking of her preempted all other thoughts.

As glad as I am that those crazy days are over, I am just as glad that I went through them and can still relate to what teens are going through.
