Teen Love Poem
This is a teen love poem about a young person who "has it bad!”
Obsession
You’re in my mind Throughout the day; I think of little else.
And when you look And smile at me My heart within me melts.
Robert Ogden
Being obsessed with someone and their attentions toward you is a tough situation for a teen to handle…or an adult for that matter. No amount of reasoning or self discipline seems to be powerful enough to free us from the chains of our attraction to that someone special.
What usually results in a teen relationship where at least one member is obsessed with the other is an attention overload followed by a break up. There is just too much strain on an individual to maintain a constant vigil over one’s habits and mannerisms to always look and act his best. None of us live this way naturally. An adult knows this and will temper his efforts to impress another with doses of reality. A teen usually goes all out until the emotional “well runs dry.”
