Short Christmas Poems

Short Christmas poems get right to the essence of the holiday.

Christmas Visit

We’re off to visit
Relatives
To have a lovely time.

To eat and drink
Gab up a storm,
Make memories divine.

Robert Ogden

Emotions are the stuff memories are made of, and Christmas time stirs emotions like no other holiday.

Sure, Mother’s Day evokes intense feelings focused on one super important person in our lives, and Valentine’s Day stirs our romantic surges toward our favorite sweetheart, but for the amount of people to whom we share our hearts and good will, Christmas has no rival.

If other holidays are like tornadoes in their concentration and focus on a single person, Christmas is like a hurricane covering hundreds of miles in distance and many people in its wake. For breadth of contact, the emotions of Christmas foster the greatest potential for large numbers of good memories.
