Religious Poems

Religious poems hold valuable truths when based on the Bible.

Security

I’m saved and have
Eternal life
On Jesus’ word I stand

He holds me so
No man can take
And pluck me from His hand.

Robert Ogden

Many people have a problem believing that once you are saved you cannot lose that salvation.

I remember the first time I had John 10: 28 & 29 used to justify the doctrine of eternal security. I had no answer; it made perfect sense.

If God was able to create the world, I guess He has the power to keep me saved. If He cared enough to send His only begotten Son so that I could be saved, I guess He cares enough to keep me saved.

If God said it in His word, then what other basis makes for a stronger argument?

I cannot pick and choose which parts of the Bible I believe are true and which are not. If eternal security is not true, then how can I be sure the doctrine of salvation is true.
