New Years Poems
New years poems illustrate the folly of yearly resolutions, or should I say the folly of those who make them.
New Years
I vow this year To make a change And make my promise stick.
I’m resolute And firm, unless A new one I should pick.
Robert Ogden
Did you ever make a resolution at the beginning of the year only to watch it fall by the wayside a few days or weeks later? You’re not alone.
I guess it’s the idea that with a new year a new opportunity arises to make a change in one’s life. But, despite the best of intentions, more promises are made than are kept…at least if my personal experiences are any indication. And if I know human nature, I’m sure the odds are with me.
