When I was courting my wife, we decided that whatever was in store for us in the future, we would be content to serve the Lord and grow old together. Yes, it is enough to just grow old together and share life’s precious moments and its hardships as long as there is a purpose for our lives and these moments. 
Our birthdays are more than just a limited celebration of the unavoidable march of time. It is thanksgiving for the time we’ve been able to spend together and especially for the most recent year of life. And to know we may have another wonderful year ahead also…wow!
