Pretty sad, eh? Of course, this spoof is about how a guy will say most anything a gal wants to hear to get her to go with him. When you think about it, it’s a pretty sad substitute for real love.

Real love is giving without asking for or expecting anything in return. Doing an act of kindness for someone who doesn’t attract you…that’s love. So is a parent working to pay the bills to provide for their children.

But love, today, is frequently thought of as an emotion that stimulates our senses. This kind of love results in marriage and, soon after, divorce.
