I’m sure I’ve been kidded myself about the number of candles on my birthday cake, though it has been a while. Recent years have seen the advent of a single candle shaped as a particular number thus dispensing with the traditional horde of single candles.

I can just see the look on an older person’s face when they receive this poem as a card or as a gift. It should be a memorable moment. It’s great that we can laugh at ourselves and build precious memories.
