Don’t bother telling this to a child anytime before Christmas, but we’ve all experienced the let down that comes right after opening the last gift. Don’t you wish there were more to open? We feel that way because things…presents, money, houses, etc…cannot satisfy. Only spiritual values can bring lasting satisfaction. 
When we seek to receive, we ultimately gain only emptiness. Fulfillment comes in giving. When we give of our time, energy, money, possessions, etc., inside we become satisfied.
