Easter Poems
Easter poems share the number one hope of Christians…going to heaven after this life is over. This is made possible because Jesus Christ didn’t stay in the grave after He died. When we accept Him as our Lord and Saviour (Romans 20:13), He gives us this same power over death.
Easter
The only Man To conquer death And make for us a way.
We’ll visit Him Up in His home Because of Easter day.
Robert Ogden
The most important of Christian holidays is easter. What else has any importance if Christ did not arise from the dead? To gain the whole world and lose your soul…not me, no way. I don’t have any desire to spend eternity in hell. As the poem says, I’m going to visit Him in heaven one day.
Easter Bunny
The Easter bunny Came to town A ridin' on a pony.
He tried to take The place of Christ; I thought it all baloney.
Robert Ogden
Secular easter celebrations replace Jesus Christ with the easter bunny just as Christmas secularism hoists Santa Claus as the substitute for the baby Jesus. While I understand the motivation of many who celebrate in this fashion (they don't want to answer to God for their lack of moral behavior, so they deny reference to His existence thus avoiding any guilt feeling...much like evolutionists do in their fabricated efforts to deny God), I can't understand one thing.
Who in the world came up with associating the easter bunny with eggs? Sure, people are just having fun with their egg hunts and easter basket hunts, but rabbits and eggs? Uh, no. They surely could have done better than this. Attributing oviparous characteristics to a viviparous animal is too obvious an error that lays itself open to criticism.
