Cute poems shine a light on real moments in our lives. 
This is the toughest answer to prayer. God likes to test (not tempt) us to see if we will rely on Him, so He often makes us wait to see if we will do just that. 
Waiting helps us to grow. Serving Him in the meanwhile helps the time go by. Admittedly, it is still hard as we do not know when the prayer will be answered, but the more we experience waiting and exhibiting self control the easier it becomes.
