Christian Poems

Christian poems minister to the soul.

Faint Not

He gave Himself,
Yet still gives on
And meets our every need.

We give and give
And by His grace,
His “faint not” we will heed.

Robert Ogden

One of the most admirable qualities in any person is his ability to stick with a task or a responsibility regardless of the difficulties he faces. It’s admirable because human nature generally looks for the easiest way out, and quitting is at the top of the list of the easiest ways out.

How a single mom can handle rearing her children while "bringing home the bacon" is beyond me. Her love for her children keeps her from quitting, and she is to be respected.

People that stay at the same job year after year and put up with the same set of problems over and over in order to provide for their family are to be admired. Leaving a job every time it becomes difficult reveals a lack of character and a need for growth.

Planning ahead helps us to calculate the amount of time and energy we will have to commit to committees, clubs, and other outside interests and assess whether we can continue performing these new responsibilities without quitting.
