Christian Poem for Mothers Day
A Christian poem for mothers day, this verse succinctly confesses the futility of trying to count her deeds.
Mother
Your deeds of love And sacrifice Through all my childhood gales
I try to count; But when I do, My calculator fails.
Robert Ogden
A Christian mother’s love is manifest in so many ways but in no way greater than in providing for her children during her child rearing years. We can try to list all of the ways her love is displayed, but the task is impossible.
From tending scrapes, cuts, and “boo boos” to nursing flu patients home from school, her caring for our health is sufficient proof of her monumental love. But factor in her other responsibilities…cooking, sewing, working a job, cleaning, and much more…and her job surpasses description.
