Baby Shower Favor Poem

A baby shower favor poem for all of our mothers young, old and soon-to-be.

Pacifier

It only takes
A little me
To help stop baby cry.

Just open up
And put me in,
And I will pacify.

Robert Ogden

I was sorely tempted to parallel the need for a pacifier to babies and adults alike. Perhaps, we adults have different types of pacifiers but pacifiers none-the-less.

Babies cry to get what they want and often get their way, though a pacifier heads them off at the pass many times.

Adults will argue and cause problems for people until they get their way…just like kids. It’s a shame that so many can’t grow up and just suffer wrong, especially over little things. Some are pacified by soft words or an apology. Hopefully, more will see their need to grow and mature and lose their need of pacifiers.
