Adult Graduation Poems

Adult graduation poems bring a unique sense of belated happiness.

Overcomer

You finally made
It through the course
And earned that tough degree.

You didn’t quit
But overcame
And, brother, that’s the key.

Robert Ogden

Many an adult has wished for the second chance to go back to school and finish his degree. Some have taken the bull by the horns and done just that.

My dad gave me some good advice when I went off to college. He told me to wait until my schooling was done before I got married. I listened to him. Having now seen others struggle with the double duty of marriage and schooling, I am so glad I listened.

Nevertheless, some are playing the hand they are dealt and fighting to overcome tough odds by getting that night degree or by actually going to school while their mate works to keep the bills paid. My hat is off to each person who overcomes these odds and earns their degree the tough way.
