I Miss You Poems
I miss you poems have longing in their verse.
I Miss You
I miss your face, Your voice, your eyes; The light within me fades.
The sunshine can Not reach my heart, ‘Til you lift up its shades.
Robert Ogden
There is a completeness that comes with marrying the right person. The parts I am missing my wife supplies and vice versa. I hate being away from her at times when we are normally together. The loneliness and emptiness that threaten my fullness of life are dashed on the rocks by her companionship.
This has been true since our college courting days. Among my greatest emotional upheavals were the summers I endured without her. I had to travel several hours on to see her and return the same day. What joy and bliss to see her; what torture to have to drive back home to work. Coming home from work each day, hoping to find a letter in the mail, no email or cell phones…grief!
All is well, now. My life is complete…until one of us is sick and has to stay home from church.
